D. Richard Ten Braak, CPA Partner
Dick Ten Braak is a prominent business advisor and CPA in the Des Moines area since 1983. He specializes in financing and deal structuring, business tax planning, expert witness services, divorce consulting, and assurance services.
Education
In 1983, Dick earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from the University of Northern Iowa with honors. He then passed the CPA exam shortly after his graduation.
Industry Background
Dick previously worked for the national CPA firm McGladrey & Pullen as an audit partner specializing in the banking, construction, and retail industries from 1983 to 1994.
He then joined AmerUs Bank in 1994 as Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and Chief Credit Officer until the bank was sold in 1997.
Dick went back to public accounting two years later, building his client base in Central Iowa. Since then, he has been intricately involved in the success of his clients’ businesses through consulting, tax planning, and advising on business matters.
Personal Life
Dick has served as a Board Member for numerous charities, including Variety - The Children’s Charity and The Convalescent Home for Children.
When he's not out and about helping others, Dick enjoys playing golf, traveling, and managing real estate investments.
Eric M. Brewer, CPA Partner
Since 1994, Eric Brewer has been practicing accounting with a major emphasis on client service in the Des Moines area.

Previous Experience
Eric began his accounting career at a local CPA firm. He then subsequently moved to the private sector holding various positions from Controller, Treasurer and CFO in several Central Iowa companies.
In 2005, Eric started his own public accounting firm until ultimately merging into TBB Advisors, LLP.

In 1993, Eric graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting, passing the CPA exam shortly after graduation.

Chad W. Baker, CPA Partner
Chad Baker joined TBB Advisors LLP in 2014 and became a partner four years later. He works with clients from a variety of industries, including real estate, construction, professional services, and wholesale businesses.

At TBB Advisors LLP, Chad focuses on compliance-related work but also enjoys going beyond this task to help clients achieve peace of mind through proactive tax and business planning.

Personal Life
Outside of work, Chad is closely involved with charities and youth sports activities in the Polk City area. He also served as a Treasurer for Bras for the Cause Iowa Foundation for several years.
When his not giving back to the community, Chad enjoys traveling with his family, playing golf, cycling, and supporting Iowa State Athletics.
